Houston, TEXAS, January 13, 2015 – SCIENTIFIC DRILLING INTERNATIONAL (SDI) announces the addition of Doug McGregor as the Senior Vice President of Measurements. Based at Corporate Headquarters in Houston, TX, McGregor will oversee the profitable growth and strategic execution of SDI’s Measurements Division comprised of MWD, LWD, and wellbore surveying technologies.

McGregor previously served as Global Asset Manager at Weatherford International, Inc. where he was responsible for high value surface and downhole assets valued at $1.5 billion. Prior to his work with Weatherford International Inc., he served as Senior Vice President at Tesco Corporation, focusing on enhancing their international service offering and ensuring the seamless transition of two acquisitions. McGregor started his career with Sperry Sun Drilling Services, holding multiple roles throughout the US and Middle East, including Global MWD/LWD Operations Manager, where he was responsible for profit and loss, capital equipment levels, R&D prioritization, staff development, and strategic planning. McGregor has a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University, and a B.A in Political Science from the University of Texas.
