SCI-GAMMA™

API NATURAL GAMMA RAY

Sci-Gamma™ is a probe-based, API calibrated sensor that detects naturally occurring gamma radiations from the formation.  It has been designed to be fully compatible with SDI’s MWD systems and supports all BHA configurations.

On the Bottom Hole Assembly (BHA), Sci-Gamma is placed just above the motor enabling quicker reaction to formation changes.\

SCI-GAIN™

API NATURAL GAMMA RAY & INCLINATION

Scientific Drilling’s Sci-GAIN™ is an API calibrated tool that provides radial gamma ray and precision inclination measurements. Sci-GAIN is positioned directly above the mud motor – delivering measurements that are 20-25ft (6-8m) closer to the bit than standard MWD.

Sci-GAIN’s measurements can be utilized by the Directional Driller during the build section for early monitoring of the mud motor output. While rotating, in the lateral, continuous inclination measurements can be used to monitor and maintain the wellbore trajectory.

SCI-GUIDE™

AZIMUTHAL GAMMA RAY & INCLINATION

Sci-Guide™ provides azimuthal gamma ray and inclination measurements 20-25ft (6-8m) closer to the bit than the MWD. It is an excellent tool for Geosteering – helping to keep the bit within the “sweet spot” of the reservoir.

Sci-Guide is extended and placed just above the motor giving the client enough time to quickly react to formation changes. It can be run with any of SDI’s MWD and LWD systems in all configurations.

SCI-QUEST™

RESISTIVITY

Sci-Quest is Scientific Drilling’s resistivity technology.  The tool has dual spacings (23 in. and 33 in.), operates at 2 MHz and provides four resistivity curves (two phase and two attenuation) with multiple depths of investigation with data acquisition as fast as one reading per second.  Sci-Quest Resistivity delivers the ultimate performance required for applications such as geosteering and formation correlation.

SCI-DRIVER™

NEAR BIT SMART MOTOR

Sci-Driver™ is a positive displacement mud motor housing an electronic payload that provides azimuthal gamma ray, inclination, RPM and vibration measurements 9 ft (2.7 m) from the bit. Using proprietary Wi-Sci™ Short-Hop communication, these measurements are transmitted to the surface real-time via Mud Pulse or Electromagnetic MWD.
