HPHT Electromagnetic Multi-Shot Solution (EMS)
Scientific Drilling International’s Electromagnetic Multi-Shot Solution (EMS) leverages the high-accuracy magnetic survey package found in our configurable MWD systems (specifically designed for use with non-magnetic collars) to conduct surveys during a trip out of the hole.
With substantial onboard memory and a maximum temperature and pressure rating of 600°F (315°C) and 20,000 psi (137,900 kPa), the HPHT EMS provides dependable survey acquisition in HPHT wells, geothermal applications, long hole sections, and any environment where tool survivability and measurement confidence are non-negotiable.
Magnetic Steering System (MSS)
The Electronic Magnetic Steering System (MSS) offers unparalleled reliability in the most challenging drilling conditions and supports a wide range of running gear structures.
Key features include a 1″ O.D. solid-state downhole probe equipped with a sensor package. This package comprises tri-axis flux gate magnetometers and tri-axis fluid-dampened accelerometers, providing comprehensive all-attitude survey and steering capabilities.
The transmitted data includes essential survey information, continuous tool face, individual sensor outputs, temperature, total magnetic field strength, and total gravity field strength. Steering and surveying information is promptly transmitted to the remote drill floor data, ensuring real-time access.
MaxFlow Landing Ring (MFLR)
Scientific Drilling International introduces the MaxFlow Landing Ring (MFLR), an innovative system designed for conducting Drop Keeper Gyro surveys in drilling assemblies. This system is particularly useful in scenarios where ball-activated reamers, PBL subs, or wireless pipe recovery systems are needed.
MaxFlow is characterized by a distinctive landing ring and bullnose combination. Unlike traditional baffle plates, it is engineered to maximize the flow area while ensuring high circulation rates. This design enhances borehole stability, well control management, and allows the passage of standard drop ball sizes.
